MIT Media Lab Symposium December 2019 Robotics, A.I., Blockchain - Lunar Industrial Initiative 2021.
On December 4th M.I.T. Media Lab held their annual Symposium on Blockchain, Robotics and AI. Industry leading professors and key stakeholders presented on how distributed and decentralized systems can advance our understanding about the possibilities of combining autonomous agents with blockchain-based technologies. The symposium brought together scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs and was hosted by Dr. Eduardo Castello, one of the leading researchers in decentralised swarm robotic systems.
Aeroid's cofounder, Emma-Jane, was invited to speak about the companies technology and plan to send 4 adaptable robotics modules to the moon by December 2021 as part of the Lunar Industrial Initiative 2021. Aeroid's Lunar Industrial Initiative is part of the companies wider vision to bring about new innovation in the space industry in terms of contributing to solve some of the current mission and operation problems that come with trying to operate rovers and telerobotic systems on the moon or other planetary bodies.
The Lunar Industrial Initiative consists of 3 stages.
Other speakers included Prof. Fabio Bonsignorio, Prof. Aleksandr Kapitonov, Prof. Marco Dorigo, Prof. Alex 'Sandy' Pentland, Dr. Thomas Hardjono, Jamiel Sheikh, Lydia Miller, Daniel Greenwood and Bryan Wilson.
